LOVE’S BRIDGE

(Chemarea dragostei)

I stoop, that Love may bridge the tide,
And draw each distant shore beside;
A living soul I came to save—
In wounded flesh, the Cross I gave.

I came from Heaven, stooping low,
To span the gulf no man could go;
My hands I stretched from side to side—
I am the Life for those who died.

From shore to shore, a pathway new,
I am the Way that carries you;
I am the Truth whose echoes ring,
The Life across your suffering.

Come! Enter through the wounds I bear—
I am the Door; My love is there.
I am the Shepherd; I know your pain.
I yearn and call—My Bride, remain!
