Reflection

Today’s news reminds us how vulnerable we are to forces beyond our control. Rivers run low, nations face uncertainty, and plans can change overnight. Yet God’s promise through Isaiah points to a deeper source of provision. Even in “scorched places,” He remains faithful to guide, sustain, and strengthen His people.

That does not mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we need not face uncertainty alone. As you move through today, look for opportunities to be a source of refreshment to others—a kind word, a patient response, a generous act, or a faithful prayer can reflect God’s care in a weary world.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constant guidance and faithful provision. Give wisdom to leaders making difficult decisions, protect those affected by conflict, drought, and disaster, and strengthen those who are discouraged. Help me to trust You today, to serve others with compassion, and to live in a way that reflects the hope and peace of Christ. Amen.
