Spurgeon Sermon Quotes

“There are thousands of men who have all that their hearts can wish for, and yet they are miserable.”

— Charles Spurgeon

We often hear phrases like “Pursue your dreams,” “Follow your heart,” “Chase your passion,” and “Live your truth.” While these sound inspiring, countless men and women who have attained their ambitions eventually discover a sobering reality: life is more than success, possessions, and applause. Without Christ, even fulfilled dreams can leave the soul empty.

True purpose is not found in self-fulfillment but in God-fulfillment. Our hearts were created for Him, and they remain restless until they rest in His presence. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we are filled with His divine life, guided by His wisdom, and anchored in a peace the world cannot give. In Him, ambition finds direction, dreams find meaning, and destiny finds its eternal significance.

Do not merely chase your dreams—seek the One who gives them purpose. Give your heart to Christ, be filled with His life, and walk faithfully in the path He has prepared for you.

✨ Choose purpose over popularity.

✨ Choose eternity over vanity.

✨ Choose Christ.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36 (KJV)
