|Dear RMS Ministry Partners,|
Last week I traveled to Romania and to the border with the Ukraine, at the Siret border crossing. Together with our local RMS missionaries, we continued the relief work for the Ukrainian refugees who keep coming to Romania, fleeing the war in their country. It is a tragic situation. Most people crossing the border are young moms with small children, walking across the border with nothing more then a carry-on sized bag.
People are scared, leaving everything behind, and walking into a foreign country where they do not know anyone and they do not speak the language. They are also psychologically scarred by the horrors of the war and afraid of what the near future holds for them. They are literally throwing themselves at the mercy of perfect strangers. The good news is that a lot of people are ready to help. I am overwhelmed by the response of the Romanian people who are ready to help, have opened up their homes towelcome refugees, and to provide any immediate aid needed.
The Romanian Missionary Society is currently present at several border crossings, offering free rides to refugees from the border to the shelter, or anywhere else they wish to go in Romania. We also continue to support several refugee shelters, providing the funds necessary for food, medication, utilities, mattresses, psychological counseling, and other things.
Last week, we joined a humanitarian convoy and went into Ukraine, to the town of Izmail, with six trucks filled with relief supplies. From there, the supplies were distributed to several cities in the Ukraine.
We are now preparing another shipment due to leave for Ukraine on April 12.
If you wish to help, please prayerfully consider making a donation.
Thank you very much for your continued support. Please continue to pray for the people of Ukraine. Pray for peace and pray for repentance. Pray for the Gospel to reach as many people as possible and for Jesus Christ to become the Lord and Savior of these refugees. This is what we are all about as the RMS proclaims Christ!
