When Mary questioned how she could conceive a child since she was a virgin, the angel Gabriel informed her that “the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God” (Luke 1:35 ESV).
Jesus also talked about the Holy Spirit.
 

If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:15–17)

While none of us will be called to follow in Mary’s footsteps, take joy in her willing example and rejoice that God does not ask anything of us without also acting as our Helper.
