11th of September – In memoriam

O cântare care te obsedează, o tânguire a unor lupi tineri în jale după cineva scump care nu mai este … Ascultați-o.

Their rendition of The Eagle’s “Hole in the World”, will move you to tears.

The group shared on YouTube: “We hope to remind everyone, that we as a nation have never forgotten you, and we will continue to fight to protect the liberties we as Americans cherish.”

May we never forget the lives lost on 9/11. May we never take our freedom for granted.  May our motto and our manner always be, “In God We Trust.”

It’s hard to believe that it’s been fourteen years since the tragic terrorist attacks of 9/11. May this tribute cause to to pause and reflect on the lives lost, as we join together in prayer for the grieving families of our beloved country.

I’ll never forget it. I was sitting on the bed in striped pajamas, in front of the tv in my parent’s room. My show was interrupted by breaking news — news that would forever change the course of history for our beloved America.

I don’t know about you, but there aren’t many days I remember quite as vividly like the day the war on terrorism began. It was the first time I didn’t feel safe; it was the first time I realized just how fragile this life is; it was the first time I watched people die; it was the first time I watched evil seemingly triumph over good — before my very eyes — and on live television.

Our post 9/11 world is different. But my prayer is that our  “In God We Trust” motto would ring true in our hearts as we fight against the senseless evils of this world. In Christ, we find comfort, we have hope, and the good guys always win.

When I watched the following video from the United States Naval Academy’s contemporary a capella group called The Anchormen, I got chills.
