“Always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfillyour ministry.”2 Timothy 4:5

We are all leaving a legacy. When we walk out of a room, either we leave behind the aroma of Christ that spreads the knowledge of Him everywhere (2 Corinthians 2:15-16), or we are leaving the less pleasant smell of self-promotion, or the vacuum of saying and being nothing much at all. A legacy of faithfulness, godliness, kindness, gentleness, honesty, integrity, love, and peace is a legacy that will be remembered with affection. But most importantly, it will point people to the one whose life matters most—the Lord Jesus Christ.

CONFESSING THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO ALL

One of the special people whom we consider very dear to our hearts and who serves the Lord is Ion S., a faithful RMS missionary who ministers in the Suceava region, in northeastern Romania. This week, we ask you to join us in prayer to lift up this devoted pastor who tirelessly serves the local communities there. In a land where the evangelical Christian population is a mere 3%, Ion stands as a beacon of light, bringing the Word of God to many small villages where the true message of salvation has never been heard.

Ion’s commitment to evangelism extends beyond the familiar, reaching even those of different faiths. His impassioned preaching captivates people of all faiths, who pause to listen to the profound message he imparts. In the face of challenges, Ion organizes enriching children’s Bible events, sowing seeds of faith in the hearts of the young.

His path is not without obstacles. Some of the leaders of the majority Orthodox church, viewing him with skepticism, actively oppose his mission and aim to obstruct events and dissuade people’s participation. In response to such adversity, we can only lift our voices in prayer, seeking divine intervention for Ion. We ask you to join us and PRAY that the Lord may grant him unwavering strength, enduring perseverance, and unyielding courage. May he stand resolute against the forces that seek to hinder the spread of God’s Word. We PRAY that miracles may not be few as Ion successfully evangelizes those who have never before heard the divine message.

We are so grateful for the miracles already witnessed in Ion’s ministry. A Christmas concert, organized by him, became a beacon of joy and an avenue for the Gospel to reach receptive hearts. Ion’s compassion extends to visiting the sick and the poor, ministering to them both spiritually and physically.

Please join us as we PRAY that God may envelop Ion and all of our RMS missionaries in His divine protection. May his faith remain unshaken, and may the love of Christ, radiating from him, continue to draw souls nearer to Him. In the midst of challenges, let miracles and victories stand as a testament to Ion’s unwavering dedication. We PRAY for strength that will help him persevere, and for the growth of his ministry, bringing salvation and hope to those yearning for God’s light.
