A Taste of Heaven in Oradea

Sunday morning found the Singing Men at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Oradea, Romania. This church is one of the largest Baptist churches in Europe. It seats 3,000 people and the church had told us if we came they would do their best to fill it. They kept their word and the place was filled to the brim.

We sang several of our concert numbers and Michael Gott preached the morning message. As we worshiped together with our Romanian brothers and sisters it was a taste of heaven. As they sang “He Lives”, “Because He Lives”, and “Majesty” we joined right along in English. It was a wonderful morning of worship to our Risen Lord!

After a delicious lunch served to us by the church we are now heading to the city of Arad where will sing our sixth concert tonight at 6:00 pm. (10:00 am Texas time).

Saturday Night in Oradea Report

We had another good concert yesterday afternoon/evening in Oradea. This concert was hosted by the Hungarian speaking church in the area. The hall seats about 700 and it was close to full with a crowd of around 650. They were a very enthusiastic crowd and responded to our songs with lots of applause. In Romania the churches don’t often applaud and are quite conservative in their expressions. Michael once again shared the truth of the Gospel and we are excited to say that 296 people made a positive response to Christ. Praise the Lord.

With the concert being at 5:00 it allowed us to actually have dinner around 7:30. Many took advantage of the early evening and enjoyed some leisure time in and around the hotel.

We are beginning the second half of our time here. The days are moving quickly. Continue to pray for us and for these final concerts this week. We are traveling on expecting the Lord to go before us and to continue to draw many more to Him.

This morning just before our service we stopped and prayed for all of our churches across Texas and those services today. May the name of the Lord be praised here in Romania, in Hungary, in Texas and around the world.
