What makes this video so enchanting is the combination of two very distinct cultures. Mexican Mariachi is several hundred years old, and the “There is none like our God” (Ein Kelokeinu) is over 1000 years old. But the mixing of cultures has followed the Jewish People for the many centuries as they have wandered throughout the exiles.

This exceptional Cantor, Moshe Mendelson, comes from a long line of cantors of over 300 years in Jerusalem. Cantor Mendelson made the move from Jerusalem to Mexico City, where he has served as cantor of the main synagogue for over 43 years, inspiring and uplifting the Mexican Jewish community with his beautiful songs and prayers.
