He’s America’s other favorite cop, right up there with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Sheriff David Clarke.

Captain Clay Higgins, formerly of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana has received notoriety for his just-the-facts Crime Stopper videos that are one part Joe Friday and one part southern preacher.

He once asked a member of “The Gremlin Street Gang” if he thought “men like these [arrayed behind him] are afraid of an uneducated, 125 lb punk like you that’s never won a fair fight in your life and holds your gun sideways?”

He then mocked the cowardly crook with one line:

Or when he announced to a perp that “I’m about to make you famous” and then taunted him that his “next meal will be through a small hole in a cell door”:

Now, the man who urged citizens to:

“Send a message to the world. We’re Americans. We’d rather die on our feet than live on our knees.”

— is back with a message of unity for America.

With tears in his eyes, Captain Higgins ticks off what he believes are some of America’s biggest problems:

“Meanwhile our nation is run by thieves, thieves in suits, career politicians who no longer represent ‘we the people’. They represent strictly their own agenda, greed and ravenous hunger for power.”

Higgins preaches that America is like a man who has faltered and fallen. But:

“A man’s character shouldn’t be measured by how he falls. His character should be measured by how he stands back up.

Together, we can stand this thing back up.”

And then he made a pitch to America on how to accomplish this task.
