Every marine is a hero but Kyle Carpenter’s story is one for the books. In November 21, 2010 Kyle was only 19-years-old when he was struck by an enemy grenade. Instead of running in the opposite directions this Angel of a man threw himself on top of the grenade. He saved every marine in that building with his act of valor.
