Doug Seegers was a homeless street musician born in New York who lives in Nashville. One day
two musicians, Jill Jonson and Magnus Carlson happened to hear his gospel song while walking by. They were very taken by his lyrics in his song “Going Down By The River”.They decided to record the song in the Cash Cabin Studio and the rest is history.
