Gustavo Angel Tamayo, a student at Bryan College in Chattanooga, TN, took one shot – actually four shots – to win himself $10,000. He scored a lay-up, a free throw, a three pointer, then a half court shot as the buzzer sounded.

Bryan College Basketball coach Don Rekoske had this to say about Tamayo:

“I’m not sure there’s a tougher contest. He had to go four for four, and you have to be hurried to make it within 30 seconds. It’s a very tough contest to win, but when you win you get paid for it. He won $10,000; some will probably go toward his school bill and some in his pocket.”

The crowd went wild for Tamayo, as they charged the court to celebrate with him.
