Attack of the Asian Carp! I’ve never seen so many at one time!
Pat Wolbert Those are Asian carp they were imported into the United States to help clean up the rivers. Then they over populated people use bow and arrows as a sport at night they have glow in the dark equipment and shoot them from boats . The motion of the boat make them jump. I’ve seen a lot of this on my
time working on the rivers on the upper& lower Mississippi .a lot of people get hurt as they jump into their boats.
Derek MacLachlan Everyone who reads this please follow the link I have found about these invasive species. I live near the Mississippi River and it makes travel on the water very uncomfortable. Yes, it was fun to see the first couple to a dozen times but it began to be absurd. These fish aren’t small people! Imagine a 20 pound fish slamming into your body, head, male parts…etc. It’s not enjoyable at all on any aspect. But this video goes to show you how greatly our waterways are in danger and have been for years. In fact these fish can eat up to 40% of their body weight a day.. A DAY!! The big head can get up to 110 pounds.. Just imagine! I could go on in on about how awful these fish are to our waterways but I really need to focus what good they could bring. First, they can provide food to anyone and everyone. Recent studies have shown that more people in a blindfolded taste test preferred the Asian carp over any other river fish. Think about this people!!! The fish apparently tastes great! Over in Asia it’s a delicacy. So why not work harder and drag these canals, streams, rivers? This could be a billion dollar industry!
