I’m all in favour of scientific research but the scientists involved have no idea what will happen. We all know what happens when you split the atom, so what will happen if the photons collide and split into a smaller unknown entity. It could trigger a bigger explosion than the atom bomb or a full scale black hole. They appear to be willing to.gamble our planet in the greedy race for a Nobel prize. Will our thirst for knowledge eventually be our undoing?

‘What a wates of money to find out something which didn’t happen, when you can buy a Bible for under a fiver and read the truth of how the world was created.

Jane, if there is one very useful thing that this experiment might well prove, it is to prove that the ridiculous Creationist view of how the Universe came to be is utter nonsense once and for all, with no basis in science. You can buy Grimm’s fairy tales for under a fiver too – and they’re about as believable.

People of the world, You should understand one thing. God Created this Universe, Earth and even ouselves and I am so sure that God wont be pleasing with us, human beings, His creation to go above Him and find how the universe was formed. Lets utilize this money for the underdeveloped countires so that They can also reach to our same standards of living. Let the people who even dont have food, be free of hunger. Think Wisely and Dont think We can go Above God.. He is the King of the world..

Even for all the religious people out there this should be a triumph! We are not trying to play god at all, we are trying to understand how the universe (or God’s creations…) became. Even if God did create life by himself, there would have been some sort of aftermath and reaction that caused it. Just because we try to understand the details of a happening doesnt mean we disprove other people’s beliefs, just that we try to understand them better.

There are broadly four groups in this debate.
1. Fundamentalist religious people who think “God did it” and are against scientific progress.
2. Those who think this is a waste of money. Some are religious, some not, some really belong to 1 and use this as an excuse.
3. Atheists who have no true scientific interest, but have found another handy tool to bash religion with.
4. Those of religious faith or not, who view scientific progress as vital to the future of of humanity. I’m in 4.
