Frații noștri din Camerun

Câteva din bisericile române baptiste din USA și Canada sunt membre și în organizația Notrh American Baptist. Iată o știre despre frații noștri din Camerun, care primesc și banii noștri trimiși la NAB.

Church FOR the Community
The 28th General Session of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) was held in Bamenda, Cameroon, on March 21-April 2, 2016. The General Session, much like NAB’s Triennial, is a time of gathered worship, fellowship, teaching, and business. Over 3,000 delegates from the CBC church all over Cameroon converged with great enthusiasm and passion. The theme of the conference was “The Church for the Community” and highlighted the notion that churches and believers are agents of God’s redemptive work as they spread the gospel in neighborhoods and communities around the churches. Critically noted was the idea that the church is not merely a church “in” the community, but a church “for” the community.

Dr. Dan Hamil, NAB’s executive director, attended the General Session and provided official NAB greetings. NAB missionaries Cal Hohn (Cameroon field director) and Walter Grob attended as well. As part of the ceremonies, Cal Hohn, Walter Grob, and Drs. Dennis and Nancy Palmer were celebrated with achievement awards by the CBC.

The Cameroon Baptist Convention was birthed by the NAB. For 62 years now, the CBC and NAB have worked side by side to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Cameroon. Many in the world of international missions celebrate this unique integrative approach to missions work.
